“Our rescue dog, Molly, was very aggressive and ball and dog driven. Thanks to Lauren, Molly has improved greatly and we have the tools to further her training. Thanks Lauren and Lauren for turning our Beast, Molly, into a Beauty!!!!! .”

“I highly recommend Lauren. My husband and I adopted our dog Bonnie from the Humane Society back in June. She had major reactivity (barking, lunging) to loud noises, other dogs, and some people. We were able to keep her in line with treat reinforcement for the most part but walks were always done with extreme caution. In early November we adopted a puppy. Bonnie adjusted incredibly well and had no problems. A few weeks later my husband was out on a walk with both dogs and Bonnie had an encounter with a dog that was passing by. This encounter caused her to slip out of her harness due to the slope they were on and try to attack the other dog and their owner. It was at this point we knew we had to do something because we didn’t want anything to ever possibly happen to Bonnie or anyone else. I started to do research on different trainers around the area and came across Lauren. Their approach & what they had to offer was exactly what we were looking for. We scheduled our evaluation with Lauren in December and immediately started our four weeks of private training. We knew we had made the right decision in Lauren & Lauren when we started noticing major changes in Bonnie’s behavior at the end of week two. For Bonnie’s graduation at the end of week four we went to Balboa Park, something we never imagined being able to do. Bonnie did incredible. Things that would normally make her react, she didn’t even bat an eye to. Bonnie is a completely different dog thanks to Lauren and we are so incredibly grateful for her and everything she has done for us. It has been an absolute pleasure being able to work with her and we can’t wait to continue with group classes..”

“Lauren and the team at Lauren have been incredible. Our GSD was anxious and reactive. Over the six week course she’s become a new dog and through continued group classes she’s improved substantially. We went from having to walk her at night to being able to take her to patios and beer gardens. If your dog is reactive you need this training."

"Bernie was anxious and reactive and needed more than just treats to become a good boy again. He had bad problems pulling on the leash and choosing when to listen. After one month with training with Lauren he is a new boy. He listens more often and reacts to strangers less and less. I have confidence he will continue to progress beyond his current level of obedience to be a calm and responsive boy. I highly recommend Lauren's training if you have a reactive dog and you need help."

"My dog murphy was super reactive and aggressive before starting training. Lauren was our trainer and she’s amazing. He is a whole different dog now. We can actually take him on walks without worrying about him attacking another dog. He improved so much and i’m so happy with where he’s at. :)"

"Our pup, Chowder, started showing aggression towards other dogs and humans when he was 3 months old. We got him a trainer and also sent him to board and training for a month. He was better but the aggression was still there. Chowder would lunge at other dogs and redirect his aggression towards us. Chowders bite was so strong that he has broke skin on both me and my husband. My husband and I were hopeless and walked around with constant anxiety. We were told that this was just his genetics and we would only be able to do so much. After much research we decided to seek help from Lauren (Lauren). Lauren came to our home and assessed chowder aggression and was confident that she could help us. After first session we already saw massive improvements. By the third session we only needed to give Chowder a couple corrections. I would highly recommend Lauren and for anyone who has given up there is still hope! It’s definitely worth every penny."

"TLTR: Do it, you won't regret it. It's worth the money. Long version: I'm including more details below since these were some of the things I wish I had seen in reviews to help us decide. Background- Two reactive dogs, Beans (3.5 year old, 16 pound Beagle mix), and Maple (9 month, 24 pound Dachshund mix). Our primary reason for contacting Lauren was to address leash reactivity towards other dogs. It was frustrating and we couldn't walk outside without worrying either dog was going to have a meltdown which made it really unpleasant taking them anywhere outside of our apartment where other dogs were present. Most dogs we saw in reviews were larger dogs so we weren't sure if Lauren also had experience working with smaller high prey drive dogs, so I wanted to call out that they 100% do. Private Lessons- We started with 4 weeks of private lessons which Lauren came to our location in downtown San Diego. We started in our building courtyard in week 1 and 2 and eventually moved outside at week 3 and 4. Beans was much more skeptical of the e-collar but Lauren was incredible in helping us build her confidence especially when hearing the tone sound and addressing any concerns via text and phone. They learned the place command, recall with tone sound, addressing leash reactivity, proper leash walking, and de-escalation of unwanted behavior. We were assigned homework each week which was easily built into daily training sessions with them. Group Training- I waited to write this review so that we could share our group training experience. We've been going for about 2 months now. The group training was one of the main draws for choosing Lauren. We wanted to be able to continue training in a controlled environment versus just any dog or friend you meet up with. The trainings are Saturday afternoon in a public park in Scripps Ranch and we attend as our schedule allows. This consists of 20-30 other dogs & owners who have graduated from private lessons and we do a series of exercises which vary from week to week such as group walks, walking past other dogs in close proximity (I know this probably sounds impossible right now if you're reading this review, we were once in your shoes but it's possible!), staying in place in the presence of distractions such as balls, toys, treats, and Lauren's dog Moose running by. Everyone there is incredibly understanding especially since they are all in the same boat so there's no shame if you or your dog makes a mistake during class. System- The e-collars Lauren provided (included in the price) is from E-Collar Technologies (EZ Educator 900 Series). There were two humans and two dogs for us so she helped us program the remotes so that each remote could address both dogs. We also purchased the QuickSnap collar with the bungee ourselves from E-Collar Technologies to make putting on and taking off the collar easier since the default one is like a belt and pretty annoying. Where we are today- We're able to go on a walk and pass a dog on the street with little to no reaction. We're able to go to a brewery or restaurant outside where there are other dogs and they have learned to place and relax. We can recall them from a distance in places like Fiesta Island and they return every time even when there are distractions. We couldn't do any of these before training with Lauren. Yes, it's pricey, but it's already paid for itself and many times over even in just 2 months and we just wish we started with Lauren sooner!"

"Lauren is absolutely amazing!!! We came to her with 2 dogs, 1 with reactivity issues (Bear), and the other with issues using the bathroom in the house and being protective over my grandma (Oakley). She did what we didn’t think was possible with the dogs. I can finally go out and not be scared that Bear is going to anger the wrong dog or Oakley is going to attack a guest in our home. Thank you!!!"

"Lauren is amazing! She worked with my two dogs to help solve their issues. One was reactive with poor impulse control. After only four weeks I feel much more confident that he can be a very well-behaved dog, even out in public or around other dogs. Before, I was too anxious to take him anywhere that he would be in close proximity to other dogs. My older dog had anxiety issues that were instigating protective behaviors in the younger one. The training helped remind her she was ok, I was in charge, and she didn't need to worry over every little thing. I am so thrilled we had our dogs trained by Lauren. They have really helped them become good citizens and shown us how to be good dog owners and leaders. Now we can walk down the sidewalk with other dogs flipping out and ours just ignore them. It's amazing!"

"When we first adopted Milo (Belgian Malinois) he was extremely aggressive and reactive. We contacted multiple trainers and we were turned down because of his behavior until Lauren. Milo had bitten his last owners and me and my cousin. He had also managed to climb and jump our fence to attack our neighbors dog, twice. When we first started the training lessons, Milo was refusing to change and we were having a hard time getting him to change. Lauren was our last option, we were at our limit. After 4 weeks of training Milo has learned recall, we are able to walk him without leas pulling or him reactive to other people or dogs. He can go out now, parks, walks, without the fear and worry we used to once have. I’m so happy in the how different Milo is now, he’s a completely different dog. We are extremely happy in how this training turned out and even more happy that Milo can finally have a good life after being abused. If you have an aggressive or difficult dog, look no further! Your dog will come out a new and changed boy."

"Lauren came to my house for an in-home evaluation. After evaluating my dog, Rugby, they provided a step by step plan on how to correct his bad habits. We had just adopted Rugby, an approximately a 5 year old Lab, that had no leash training, did not know commands, and was dog aggressive. We just completed the first four weeks of one on one training and Rugby is a different dog (for the better). He doesn’t pull on the leash during walks or counter surf, learned several commands, and isn’t reactive to dogs. Lauren has been a pleasure to work with and we are looking forward to the next year of classes."

"Lauren was amazing! We needed help with our two young rescue dogs. Within four weeks, our pups have become so much better behaved! We worked on the basics (recall, place/break) first and then moved onto addressing the issues we were having with the dogs (leash walking, barking, and, with one of our dogs, unprovoked biting). It’s amazing how much they have improved. The training program works. We can’t thank Lauren enough for her guidance throughout the program. We feel like it’s been such a good bonding experience between us and our dogs. We enthusiastically recommend Lauren!"

"Lauren helped us train our 65 pound pitbull husky shepherd mix rescue dog. Our dog was reactive and unpredictable with other dogs and humans when we went outside or had guests over. We completed private training with Lauren and saw huge improvements with recall, focusing on us versus other dogs/distractions, and overall leash walking. She gave us the confidence as first time dog owners. Highly recommend Lauren if you’re looking for professional dog training!"

"Our German Shepherd had some training before training with Lauren but had problems with visitors to the house, would sometimes react to other dogs and pulled when walking. With this additional training he is now very responsive to commands and is a pleasure to take for walks - no barking at other dogs. He is also getting very good with off leash work. Thanks so much Lauren"

"Lauren has been an amazing help to our family. Our 10 month old husky is cute and adorable but was a complete Tasmanian Devil with his separation anxiety whenever we had to leave him alone at home. With the training from Lauren our dog has done a complete 180! It has been a lot easier to leave without worrying about the house and we can finally take our baby out and about without any fears or worries of something bad happening. Thank you so so much!!!!"

"Lauren is great with answering questions. I hope to make continued progress in group classes. She could definitely tell when I was nervous and told me to calm down so I could be a good leader to my dog. My partner and I have a 1-1/2 year old belgian malinois/doberman mix. This is my first dog and my dog has always been a bit hesitant with strangers. However her reactivity started to increase when she would bark and lunge at cars. This behavior spread to whenever she was scared, startled, and/or excited. PREVIOUSLY, We've gone to positive only training and she improved but she plateued. While we were getting progress with her reactions, she seemed to be getting more intense with reactions the fewer times it happened. Increased barking, lunging, nipping when passing strangers in tight spaces, being surprised, the basketball. She would be so stressed she would redirect and nip us. Our dogs behavior escalated to nipping new friends that we invited over to our place. We wanted to stop this habit YESTERDAY. We contacted Lauren and had a great, free, in home consultation. Since we already had a history of training with our dog, we did lessons in 3 weeks vs 4 weeks. We are currently at the 3 week mark, and plan to go to group classes. Here is how her behavior changed in 3 weeks: -seeing dogs. BEFORE, barking and lunging. Hyperfocus. AFTER, no reaction. -surprise scares. BEFORE, she would bark and lunge and when the mailman came too close she would snap her teeth close to him. AFTER, her scare from an unexpected person was 1 bark (my dog is super talkative). No leash pulling. No lunging. -isolated stranger danger. BEFORE, barking and lunging. AFTER, on Feb 1 she did bark at a stranger that suddenly walked toward her. But on Feb 2, she did not bark or lunge at 2 isolated joggers that were running right toward us! She was still curious and had a brain wrinkle but we used Lauren's method to prevent a reaction. -leash pulling. BEFORE, shen would constantly be at the end of the leash. AFTER, she has maybe 6 or 7 LIGHT movements at the end of the leash. Mostly loose leash, even during stressful coyote encounters. Our final class was at the Oceanside Pier and our dog did wonderfully in a crowd. ****UPDATE MAR 25 (2-3 months later) Friends, neighbors, and our dog sitter has remarked on how much calmer our dog is! She allows people to pet her face now. Maple's showing other people the sweet girl she is with us!"

"Firstly Lauren is awesome! Our dog Addie (German Shepherd) was really reactive and we couldn’t bring her anywhere in public. It was so embarrassing. After 4 weeks with Lauren our dog is living with us at our apartment and is one of the best behaved dogs in the complex. All of our anxiety is gone and Addie is happy as ever!"

"Amazing results! Lauren took our dog from a total lunatic (reactive to dogs, scooters, skateboards, anything really) to being able to walk calmly in populated areas. Couldn’t recommend Lauren any more! If you’re having problems with your dog, don’t wait, Lauren will help."

"Lauren's training was probably one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our reactive (and sensitive) German Shepard/Pit Bull doggo, Roger. Roger has always been very protective, and has made it very hard for us to have people come over to our home. We've also had difficulty taking him out to heavily populated areas (IE. dog parks, dog friendly restaurants). Sometimes we are never really sure how he will react. With a new baby on the way, we were worried that having family and friends come over would be near impossible. But Lauren has definitely changed our outlook. From the beginning, we found Lauren to be extremely calming and easy to talk to. We always felt that she heard our questions and made sure that the training we were practicing would guide us to a resolution for our issues. The weekly homework was helpful to build foundations for Roger, but also for us to solidify the new techniques we as owners are learning. We are excited for our relationship to continue to grow with Roger, and we can't wait to see his progress as he continues to go to group class. A big thank you to Lauren! We brought two dogs to Lauren— one who’s really anxious and one who can be aggressive toward other dogs. She was great with both dogs. Super knowledgable and friendly, great at working with the wide range of issues our dogs have. Both dogs have really improved in the couple months we’ve been doing the training. They’re calmer, have better leash manners, and I feel more confident that I could handle our more aggressive dog around other dogs. I highly recommend!"

"We tried on our own to train our two GSD a 3yo female and a 1 yo male. Some things went well but a whole new level was achieved when we called Lauren . Lauren has the knowledge and personality that is perfect for training dogs. The price is high but you will get every penny back with the relationship you will have with your dog. I would recommend Lauren for everyone that has a dog."

"I tried training my high-energy Great Dane for the first several months of his life and just couldn't get it right. It got to the point where I couldn't go outside with him because of his size and strength. We got Lauren on board to help after a recommendation and it has been amazing! Our big 150-pound boy is now walking casually on a leash after only a few sessions! I highly recommend!"

"Lauren worked so well with Nilla! Nils behavior has improved beyond what I thought was possible in a month. I can’t wait to begin the group classes and see Nilla become even more confident. Lauren has been absolutely amazing and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone."

"Lauren helped transform my dog Eli into an amazing role model. Before our training Eli was reactive and had a no impulse control but today after just 4 short weeks he has made a complete 180. Thanks for getting Eli to be the good boy we knew he was deep deep down."

"I adopted my dog Gino when he was 3 years old and he is so sweet, but he was sooo poorly behaved. He didn’t listen to any commands other than sit. He would not come when called unless I had a treat and even then it was iffy. It was embarrassing I couldn’t take him anywhere as he would be unpredictable- sometimes lunging, barking and howling at other dogs and not redirectable/controllable when this happened. He would also pull on leash so bad it made walking him beyond aggravating. After 2 months with Lauren and Lauren, I literally don’t recognize this dog. He follows every command, doesn’t pull on the leash and is able to run off leash at the park and come back when I call him. All without treats (of course he gets treats but he listens regardless!!). We’ve gotten so much closer as a pair because of this. He’s so much more respectful. I can bring him in public and know that I’m in total control. If you’re thinking that you need to find training that actually works in all situations, look no further. It is soooo worth the time and money. I will train all my future dogs this way!!! Thank you Lauren, you’ve truly made both Gino and my lives happier!"

"Lauren did such a great job with Oakley our Belgian Mal puppy she is way more calm and less tense. When we tell her to place she does it no problem and no matter what’s going on around her. Definitely recommend Lauren and if your lucky you get to meet moose her shepherd."

"Who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? We were at our wits end with our 7 year old reactive rescue GSD, and didn’t know what to do… I wasn’t sure at first about the eCollar, but Lauren did a fantastic job teaching us about it, teaching us how to use it, and we haven’t looked back. We have a new confidence, and so does our pup! We can go out in public without embarrassment, or worrying about spooking other people. The transformation in 4 weeks was amazing, and we have all the knowledge we need to continue refining her behavior on our own :) Looking forward to group class though!”

"This dog training program works! Our dog was unpredictable and reactive towards other dogs and strangers but after completing our weekly sessions the improvement was way beyond expectations. Lauren is an excellent trainer and she guided us each week on what we needed to do. After the third week, our dog doesn't lunge and bark at others. A huge improvement from before. Choosing Lauren was the best decision with absolutely no regrets. Thank you Lauren for helping us with our dog!"

"Lauren has been invaluable in helping getting our dog Pedro to not bite/nip people. Given his herding instinct, we would have even got this close with traditional training. Great value 4 personal training sessions with weekly group sessions after that."
